Rosata (Wine Club Only)

Rosata is the Italian word for rosé. This wine was produced exclusively for our Vintner’s Choice Club Members, who share our passion for world class, small batch wines produced with locally grown grapes that represents the soul of the land from which it came.

Apellation: Wisconsin Ledge

Residual sugar: Semi-Dry

Winemaker's Notes

This rosé features the Baco Noir grape.Normally this grape is too delicate for our climate. However, a little vineyard just south of the winery in Manitowoc county is in somewhat of a micro-climate, providing that additional bit of warmth in the winter that this varietal needs to survive.
Traditionally we have used the Baco Noir grapes to make a deep red wine called Baco Noir. Due to the growing season of 2016, Winemaker Steve choose to make a rosé with the grapes to highlight the grape’s best qualities.

Tasting Notes

This semi-dry rosé wine offers burst of floral, red fruit, and melon flavors and finishes with a refreshing herbal note. A food-friendly wine that pairs well with salad, cheeses, seafood, chicken, pork, and spicy foods.
