Winemaker's Notes

The Marquette is named after Pere Marquette, a Jesuit missionary, and explorer who canoed on the Bay of Green Bay just miles from here in the late 1600s on his way to the Gulf of Mexico.  This grape is the cousin of Frontenac and a grandson of Pinot Noir and expresses itself with the fruit forward, bright, and balanced expressions that have made Pinot Noirs so popular.

This wine offers a true expression of wine now being produced in this unexpected corner of the wine world right here in Wisconsin.  In addition to offering you the taste of the soul of the land from which it is grown, it also offers incredible food pairing potential.

M offers a quality “Wisconsin grown grape to glass” wine that can pair well with the rising  interest in “locally grown” quality food being prepared across our state’s finest restaurants.
