Winemaker's Notes

The La Crescent grape is a cold hardy varietal with parentage in the Moscato family. This grape varietal can withstand the harsh Wisconsin winters, yet come alive again in the spring and produce world class fruit that makes award winning wines. Toted as one of the most promising cold hardy varietals by experts in the wine industry, our La Crescent continues to win highest honors at competitions.

We source our La Crescent from one of our contracted growers in the Western part of Wisconsin, where it is grown on hillsides that allow maximum sun exposure so it ripens to perfection. La Crescent is an excellent representation of the world class wines grown and produced here in Wisconsin. This New World wine expresses the fruit forward expressions desired by the younger wine drinker yet offers the nuances appreciated by the connoisseur.

Tasting Notes

Made 100% from the La Crescent grape, this brilliantly balanced white wine starts with a luscious, sweet flowery bouquet and ends with refreshing and rich flavors of peach, apricot and citrus. The body of this wine gives it a silky smooth mouthfeel which is balanced by refreshing crisp acidity on the finish.

Our La Crescent is reminiscent of a blend of the rich fruitiness of a Moscato and the refreshing acidity of a Riesling. Perfect for drinking on its own or pairs well with bold cheeses, green salads, fried fish, seafood, chicken and pasta with white sauces.
